| TakingITGlobal is looking to expand our Tread Lightly program across Europe! We are looking for an individual fluent in English and Danish and based in Denmark, to work as Tread Lightly Language and Engagement Coordinator to help with online translation and promotion of the Tread Lightly program (http://www.treadlightly.me). About Tread Lightly Tread Lightly is a free climate change education and engagement initiative offered by TakingITGlobal with the generous support of the Staples Foundation for Learning. It seeks to empower youth to minimize their ecological footprints and take action on climate change through secondary school lesson plans and an accompanying themed online classroom, an environmental art contest, and ecological footprint challenges. About the Position The Tread Lightly Language and Engagement Coordinators will work virtually to translate key program material, populate web pages with language-specific content and resources, promote the program to educators and youth, and assist with communications as needed. Details: 12 Months, 5-8 hours per week Application Deadline: July 30, 2010 Start Date: August 16, 2010 Applicants must be able to commit to a 12-month placement, from August 2010 to July 2011, with a commitment of 5-8 hours per week. Interns will be remunerated with a honorarium of $2000 USD in total, and may be eligible for a travel stipend of up to $750.
